Microsoft’s new release sees them heading into not only the tablet market but also the netbook arena, competing with both the iPad and Macbook Air. The new product called “Surface” bridges the gap between laptop and tablet with their inbuilt stand and combined; keyboard and case.
The Design
Although an odd comment to make, in my opinion the surface follows an apple style design with minimal logos and clean cut lines, this has quite often been a deciding factor in Mac over PC however this was reflected in the price.
The Suface also offers an in inbuilt kickstand keeping it at the optimum viewing angle for both viewing and typing.

Microsoft are offering customisation in the form of their keyboards which double up as covers, available in a range of colours and giving the Surface a tactile surface.

Price & Spec

Currently no prices have been released however they have confirmed that they will be releasing 2 versions a standard(9.3mm) and a pro version(13.5mm) both featuring a 10.6″ HD display.
Unlike it’s competitor the Surface will offer a full-sied USB port.
Sound Familiar?
If your up on your Microsoft news then you may be thinking you’ve heard of the Microsoft surface before, and you’d be right a while back Microsoft along with Samsung made a large, table-sized computer called Surface.
